Mine went through the second time. Bit weird, this two step process.

I gave up waiting for Windows Update to finish so I restarted the computer and used the ISO I made from UUPDump Downloader. Total time was about 45 minutes.

Edit: After I make a Macrium image I'm going to use the ISO to update my laptop.

See that were back to multiple tries of 'getting things ready' in this build. One computer completed and 3 to go---keep going back to 'getting things ready' duh!
Fondly () known as the Loopies. I didn't check this time, cause I didn't get any. In the past, when it does the "getting things ready" out of the blue at 47% or something, Reliability History will show a message saying Update Failed, blah, blah. Don't recall the exact wording. It's all gone, of course, after all is done, cause the new build wipes all that and starts fresh.

PS: It installed nVidia Ver. 430.50 as well.

Getting Things Ready is slower than molasses in January!

With what's been posted so far, I'm not overly optimistic about 18894 installing the first time around; certainly not as fast as 18890 for sure.
Having same issue. Slow as can be and not optomistic about a first run install.

Hard to believe but it installed. Got to 48% on getting things ready then jumped to 100% and thought it was done with, But then it started to install VERY slowly but it did install.

No matter which way I tried, my 18890 install would not let me update to this build.
Windows Update didn't / wouldn't see it, no matter what insider ring I set myself to.
And creating the ISO's from UUPDump and with UUPdownloader just failed on setup.

Used MR to image back to 18362.86 RP and Windows Update picked it right up and installed with no issues.

Not quite sure why it wouldn't update from 18890. I guess I must have really dorked up that install some how.

Everything seems all good now so far.

    Peace
    Wanna

Installed first time with Windows update. Took 1:45 no errors. A lot of that is my slow internet.
