    This did nothing for me.
Open a FFox window and minimize it for a while. They will come back. I had to do the same.

There was me thinking this doesn't affect me as I don't have any add-ons. But I got a warning bar across the top of FF saying my add-ons have been disabled.

OK, so it turns out I did have an extension after all, or to be more accurate an English Language Pack. My spellcheck was the 'extension' that had been disabled

I used the 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' fix here...

Certificate issue causing add-ons to be disabled or fail to install - Announcements - Mozilla Discourse

After a short while my language pack was enabled again. I have now turned off 'Studies', we'll see how long it continues to work....

Edit: apparently it should continue to work with Studies turned off.

    • Studies can be disabled again after the add-ons have been re-enabled

It may take up to six hours for the Study to be applied to Firefox. To check if the fix has been applied, you can enter “about:studies” in the location bar. If the fix is in the active, you’ll see “hotfix-update-xpi-signing-intermediate-bug-1548973” in either the Active studies or Completed studies...

When I turned on my PC again, around 13:30, my addons were working again. Phew!
My extensions seem to have been restored by Mozilla, and are still working. Around 12 hours earlier they had all been disabled. It is odd that others are still having problems (to me at least).

Weird. My extensions got disabled at 00.00 (midnight) exactly. Downloaded a fresh copy of firefox and reinstalled addons from .xpi files and they all work.
