    Code:
rpm -qa | grep -i firefox
    MozillaFirefox-66.0.3-1.1.x86_64
    MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE-60-1.1.x86_64
    Code:
    about:config
    Code:
    xpinstall.signatures.required
Double click to set it to false to recover extensions functionality.
    Tumbleweed 20190429 Build

Enables Firefox full functionality without flash player (codecs):
    Code:
    sudo zypper ar -cfp 90 http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/Essentials packman-essentials
    Code:
    sudo zypper dup --from packman-essentials

On the following web page, Samuel Vuorela fix is working for me. No need to enable Studies as he say on his post.
Open Firefox, go to the web page scroll down to Samuel post, click on link [1] and voila'.

THAT'S WHAT MICKEY MOUSE WARES TRY TO MAKE US BELIEVE. It's W10 recent update that enforced the certification litigation. In fact Firefox no longer is in the list of Browsers default choice, on;y crappy MS browser and Chrome in the list , if you disable Chrome you are stuck with Edge/Explorer. If you try to bring back Firefox as a default browser, windows 10 set up gives no choice but the crappy MS browser or Chrome (God only knows why Chrome). I am certain millions of users are as pissed off as much at MS .I had the feeling something will come up from the peddlers of mediocrity every time I allow a new update.

Rolling out a hotfix through Studies! Hahahaha. Convenient for data collection. They can study this! Why not release the update the normal way with a program update?

Nothing fixed on my end yet.

    Updates:

    • Some users are reporting that they do not have the “hotfix-update-xpi-signing-intermediate-bug-1548973” study active in “about:studies”. Rather than using work-arounds, which can lead to issues later on, we strongly recommend that you continue to wait. If it’s possible for you to receive the hotfix, you should get it by 6am EDT, 24 hours after it was first released. For everyone else, we are working to ship a more permanent solution. But wait a minute! Is this the EMAILS defaults? In the DEFAULT BROWSER OPTION I only have showing CHROME and the RESET one which is Crappy Edge... something's fishy!.. either you got a special version of windows or I have the something special for me to aggravate and make me utterly pissed off!

hey edwin, just to be on same reference point show my your system info, here is mine:

This is what i get when I try to establish Firefox as a default browser:

Ok OK OK.. I did overlook the last option : set default by option, it did revert the default in favor to Firefox, but after a manual click on every Firefox type, about 15 or so.. never been like that before to change defaults.. But I still believe that Mickey Mouse MS is bent on making it a living hell to chose who chose anything but crappy MS components. My apologies to Edwin!
