One thing I have noticed is that the 365 Office icons have changed
    Attachment 232762
Is this as a result of the KB4495667 update or did 365 Office updated at the same time?
I noticed that too, but only on 1 computer out of two... so I’m puzzled!

The Office icons are separate (I have the new icons but haven't yet updated to KB4495667). They were pushed out to insiders at the end of last year and to mainstream with the latest (1904) Office update.

    Hi there
You can change the icons (or even create your own with any icon editor) works not only for Office but any programs where you can create a desktop short cut -- simply create a desktop short cut say for EXCEL and then in the properties change the icon - it will display a whole slew from the built in program or allow you to browse for your own created one --if you create custom one it must conform the the standard icon size.

To get the send to desktop (create short cut) choose open file location say for excel.exe then right mouse click and then choose send to desktop (create short cut).

    Cheers

I hope this will be helpful to people still using a regular HDD or people who just want more speed in general:

I literally just installed this update on my Windows 10 PC and I've definitely noticed a HUGE difference in how long it takes to lock (Windows key + L) and unlock my PC. It's now much faster and almost instantaneous to lock and unlock my Windows 10 PC. Before this update I'd sometimes be waiting for up to 50seconds for my PC to lock and unlock!

I'm always looking for ways to increase the speed of my Windows 10 PC and general responsiveness so this minor patch has been a big help.

    Windows Update Improvements

Microsoft has released an update directly to the Windows Update client to improve reliability. Any device running Windows 10 configured to receive updates automatically from Windows Update, including Enterprise and Pro editions, will be offered the latest Windows 10 feature update based on device compatibility and Windows Update for Business deferral policy. This doesn't apply to long-term servicing editions.
Maybe I'm being dumb here, but I am confused. Please help me understand this: So apparently any device running Windows 10 will recieve an update to Windows Update? but not Home Editions? Also, the quote ends by talking about feature updates? So users need to have this update in order to recieve the upcoming feature update? Or am I misreading this? How do I know I got this Windows Update update? Is it a part of this cumulative update? If so I have a few PCs here who haven't gotten any update. Some are even on v1803 and not 1809. Again, maybe I need to have a drink and re-read this for it to make sense for my brain today.

Just get a drink and don't bother reading again so you don't spoil good drink All this means; you get what you get, when you get it or maybe not.

Anyone got a problem while searching? For example, I go to type update but all I get is a white screen. Any ideas?

Typing Update in search box (lower left corner of the task bar) gives as a first result "Check for Updates". So I am not having this problem either.
