Tip
A few machines at my workplace failed to change icons after update.
So did Office 2016.
Office Suite: Feature updates
New Office App Icons: Redesigned app icons to reflect the simple, powerful, and intelligent experiences of Office.
And very amateurish implementation, one needs to say, with Access, Project, Publisher & Visio icons remaining intact and not matching the rest. Doh...
Anyone seen the new Search bar? Running O365 and no search bar in sight
Is there any way to change the icons back to the old style? With Access and Publisher not having the new icons it feels so out of place!!!
Hi there
@Scottyboy99
You can use the old icons if you prefer !!
@JitzyJT
Why not create your own icons - or even copy the old ones, then go to the program location --->send to desktop (create short cut) and then in the properties set your own customised icon. Easy way is to use control panel, programs and features, go to program location.
In fact if you just want the old ones simply after creating the desktop short cut choose properties via right mouse click) and then click the button I've labelled -- it will be the middle one in English. Pick the icon you want and just save.
This link gives you an icon maker if you want to create your own.
