I am running a clean install of 1903 (18362) without being enrolled in any Insider Ring, and I got upgraded to 18362.86. I thought this was just for Insiders, or did I miss something? I was not even a "seeker" (did not click 'check for updates') - it just happened when the system made its normal daily poll. What gives?

Hi folksAny idea on what HD colour does -- I haven't changed any monitors -- seems a new option in Windows display / system properties -- and I'm on a VM currently !!

Glad you brought this up, though. Because until now, Windows has NEVER accepted my 65" UHDR 4K television as an HDR monitor. And after going to check on what you were asking, I see that it finally does now. So that's at least some good news. Thanks.

Me too, a non-Insider with an 18362.30 ISO from UUP Dump. Seems 18362.86 has successfully served its time in release preview and is now marked for general release.

That's kinda what I was thinking, all this talk of "late May" notwithstanding. I also started with a clean install of 18362.30 from UUPDump.

I also have an installation of 1903 that came up through the WU ranks from 1809 via Slow Ring. I set the switch to get off the Insider train when the general release version was delivered. When 18362.30 came along, this installation was removed from Insiders, much to my surprise. And it, too, was given 18362.86.

I keep waiting for them to make 18362 available on the Insider Preview download page, but that build is still 18343.

That surprises me. The reason I downloaded 18362.30 from UUP Dump was that MS had just released that build for a wider distribution on MSDN, suggesting it is the likely RTM.

Brink should update his 1st post as the actual downloads are CAB files

here are the real links to the MSU (not cab) files of KB4497093 [build 18362.86] [no longer requires using dism.exe to install because they are msu files]

    (x64/64bit - 162.8Mb) (x86/32bit - 74.1Mb) (ARM64 - 129.5Mb)

I'm downloading 18362.86 from a UUP dump instead of 18362.30, Bree

I chose 18362.30 a few weeks ago as that was the build that had just been publicly released on MSDN. Windows Update has already taken me up to 18362.86.

Historically MSDN iso's get distributed to TechBench and MSDNAA (not sure what that is now) - so .30 should be the RTM... .86 zero-day update... just some useless info (but for those that prefer to save GA's rather than the refreshed ESD stuff from MCT)
