Really would like to follow up on how you happen to fix it. Post back!. I had this morning a yellow exclamation mark in system tray for my audio. Just doing an audio troubleshooting put everything back to normal.
Still tryin to sort this sh*t out!!!

I just tried it in 1903 18885.1001 which is 20H1 (Fast ring) (follow-on to 1903 I think) and it works there.

Using IE, I dragged the URL icon to the Desktip for Google, then dragged it to the Taskbar and voilla, it was placed there like any other shortcut. Also tried dragging the icon from the IE URL area directly to the Taskbar and got the Pi8n to Taskbar popup and it was there when I released the mouse button.

How do I get out of this release stream 1903 18885.1001? I would like to move to the RP stream (Release Preview).
Do I need to Clean Install the current RP build?

No mention of it in the release documentation that I'm aware of. I have it running on my Oracle VM and my Laptop.

How do I get out of this release stream 1903 18885.1001? I would like to move to the RP stream (Release Preview) with the Oracle VM and keep the Laptop on this stream.

Do I need to Clean Install the current RP build?

Interesting. Do you have Firefox? If so, are you able to create a desktop shortcut from a URL and place it on the Taskbar?

    TIA

It works with IE because of it's integration with Explorer, it directly creates an 'App'...
(which you can also do with other browsers...)

with other clients, you need to create the shortcuts yourself by adding explorer as a prefix...

Thanks! I was hoping that MS could enable any Desktop Shortcut to be dragged and placed on the default Taskbar, like Windows 7.
Any chance of that feature inclusion in 1903?

I just tried it on build 18362.86 and it's possible to do it, so yes, it's included in version 1903, I tested it in Edge insider (Canary and Dev) and Chrome.

Not if it's dragged from the browser to the Desktop and ends up as a web document.
