    "PHONE App"
so if your ANDROID Phone is on Build 6 you can not use this Windows feature.
The WORLD still has more working Android 6 Device builds than anyother but MS are not interested.
Not going to Root my Phone and lose some features like VoLTE just to satisfy MS Phone App.

So Why can M$ do Android 6?....'security layers' not heavy enough?

    EDGE CHROME SYNC and 18885

Seriously M$ MUST do something about their SYNC System, it is rubbish compared to Google Chrome/Android.

Been using Edge Insider Canary via many Devices linked to the same Sync Account and they don't SYNC or when they do it can take up to 2+ days, and instead of MERGING same Favorites/Bookmarks Folders it is adding uncomplete duplicated Folders.
IF one ADDs a new Bookmark/Favorite again SYNCing is Slow or not at all across devices.

Unlike GOOGLE SYNC is virtually instant and flawless.

I am Posting in this thread as I am running 18885 and I do not think these SYNC issues are W10 Pro Build related??

WHY not a dedicated SYNC SYSTEM Folder where USERS can manipulate/change/update in real time, and yes aware of the 'App Data', User/Default for EdgeS/S, but again Manual inclusions of Favs will usually result in dulpication or errors, see above.
Tried the Account RESET, but again, nothing is instant, so I manually export/import.

And Yes I am aware that this Edge Chrome is in 'early' Dev, but looking around MS SYNCing of Favs in current old Edge has these same crap issues dating back Years....just another MAJOR user issue that M$ over cooks and is condescending to user online enquiries....told to 'fix this way' that never works.

M$ had better get going on this as slow and bad SYNCING of Favorites and other information will lose many early EI users (like me) willing to flick Google Chrome, but I need a SYC system that Works and Reliable for my 4000+ Bookmarks.
    Wrong.

First of all, you're using old data - worldwide, as of Mar 2019, Android 6 Marshmallow only accounts for 16.37% of total installs worldwide, according to Mobile & Tablet Android Version Market Share Worldwide | StatCounter Global Stats - Both Android 8.0 Oreo (18.86%) and Android 8.1 Oreo (18.33%) surpass it *each*, and when coupled with Android 7 Nougat (11.71%) gives you 48.9% of all worldwide usage.

Even if you use Google itself as the source, from Distribution dashboard Android Developers you see that, while Marshmallow shows 23.1%, Nougat (7 + 7.1) accoutns for 28.2% and Oreo (8 + 8.1) accounts for 21.5%, which adds up to 49.7%. In addition, Android Pie was on released August of 2018, so well over6 months, which neither dataset even mentions explicitly. So, you've got ~50% of the world already on an Android device running Android 7+. And notice that this site explicitly states the following:
Data collected during a 7-day period ending on October 26, 2018 (update coming soon: data feed under maintenance).
Any versions with less than 0.1% distribution are not shown.
I don't mean to sound like I am being dismissive of the requests for support for Marshmallow, but unless you're an Android developer and can show why this would work with no real development needed on a device running Android 6 Marshmallow, your arguments sound a bit too reminiscent like the arguments that folks keep pushing out for support of good old Windows XP. Especially considering that the vast majority of phone developers have stopped producing updates (both security and otherwise) for devices that have no newer build than Marshmallow on them, and Google has stopped developing security updates for Marshmallow as well (see the April bulletins at Android Security Bulletin—April 2019 Android Open Source Project and you'll see no fixes for anything prior to 7.0 devices). In fact, you have to go back to August of last year to find a security update for Android 6: Android Security Bulletin—August 2018 Android Open Source Project (The full list of Android security bulletins is here - see for yourself: Android Security Bulletins Android Open Source Project )

So, it's pretty much a moot point to ask for support for what is, for all intents and purposes, from a security standpoint, a dead OS.

    Thanks!

    And again!

For Android 7 and higher ONLY, in Samsung market that is Galaxy S6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (and similar dated Phones) which is only 39% of Samsung total Versions in current use and leaves out remaining 61% of Samsung customers in this instance, I expect Google Pixel , LG and Sony would be at similar OS platform levels for Android.
    Read above, please.

Argh - spent ages trying to install this in a dual boot vhd today.

I have a batch file that automatically injects some drivers into base iso, then install OS in a vhd using dism and creates a boot entry. Has been working fine for ages but failed after I upgraded to 1903.

It kept failing with a dism IO error when trying to use dism to install it.

I checked drive for errors etc, looked at meaningless logs that said drive is read-only etc.

    The answer was ridiculously simple.

Before 1903, my vhds were mounted as Drive 2.

That is now reserved as the 8GB read-only virtual drive to install updates which cannot be deleted!

Once I sussed this and changed batch file to use drive 3, it worked fine.

Now if I could work out how to tell drive number automatically.....

This 8GB drive is a complete waste of space and time if you do not need it! I have disabled use of it, so why on earth I am not allowed to delete it is another bad MS design decision.

I do not understand why you need the disk number? It is absolutely unnecessary when creating a VHD for native boot.
And this is why I absolutely love the fact that @Kari and other devs hang out here :)

In settings and in start /all apps the scroll doesn't seem to work with my mouse and touchpad. I have to use the arrow to go up and down ...could be just me...touchpad does the same.
    Anyone experiencing this
Ok...I went in my mouse settings just changed vertical scrolling from 3 to 5 then back to 3..scroll works..reboots then does not work and I have to re do the above method..like my mouse settings won't save...

I was trying to burn the .iso file for the latest version of EaseUS ToDo Backup software in order to create an Emergency disk. I use File Explorer to mount and proceed with the burning process. I just couldn't do it, for the CD/DVD in the drive bay couldn't be recognized.

The same process worked without a glitch on my main machine which is not on Insider Program. That was the reason of my question. I will probably give it a shot with RUFUS or EZB UltraISO and see what happens. I will definitely post back.
Keeping up with my promise made in post #169 above, I have decided to steer clear of all the hassle needed in order to create the emergency disk on my second machine running this 18885.1000 build. The reasons are many-fold:

-First and foremost, the emergency disk created on my main machine still on 1809 (OS Build 17763.437) works flawlessly on the second one (Insider Program)

-I found that Rufus a bit too complicated to my test just to create an emergency rescue media. Proof is here from this post #2 made by @NavyLCDR in the following quote:
Finally, your USB flash drive is probably set up wrong. If you don't set the all the options exactly the correct way, and set them in the exactly correct order in Rufus you are likely to get a USB flash drive that won't do what you want it to do.
I won't recommend that anyone use Rufus. Here is a much more reliable way to make a USB flash drive bootable in both a UEFI and a legacy BIOS computer
    - I cannot event mount the .iso file in File Explorer with the second machine on Insider Program. No wonder the CD/DVD in the drive bay was not recognized

-EZB UltraISO is a paid utility (show stopper for me). Not going to pay for a third-party app in order to just burn an .iso file.

Good to know!. . Like I said in one of my previous posts, I was confident that you would get to the bottom of it. Just simple curiosity, was it after updating to the latest audio driver?

Edit: My bad! I remember now that you have rolled back to the previous driver. Sorry to ask!

Have you tried updating your mouse driver?
In the past I was having some problems with my Logitech mouse and Windows 10 and what I did was switch it to Microsoft driver and everything worked just fine (I lost some settings with the switch), but I didn't care because I was not using it.

    Possibly.
Odd thing is, there is no longer a Realtek Audio Manager in Control Panel, but, there is a Realtek startup item in AllUsers Startup folder, that I had hidden! That's was the culprit, I think!
