    The reply was from the official Windows Insider Twitter account so a bit more than wishful thinking.
    Thanks!

    I running my entire SSD on Ubuntu Disco with Windows Build 18875 on several VMs. I am taking a vacation from installing and run Windows on my "real drives".

    Yes, what Keith said. I was surprised Dona actually replied to me. Maybe a few more had the same question. I thought the announcement before, although a good one, was vague in that area. So, I think it's a fact. No need to bounce back and forward again.

    Hi there

    VMWARE still has problems with VM´s when attaching external USB2/3 HDD's/thumb drives / SSD's via SATA-->USB connectors.

    Same problem on all the other 1903 H1 builds as well as these 20H1 builds.

    To avoid confusion -- I'm talking about running these builds as HOST machines and then running VMWARE to start VM's on these builds - doesn't matter what the VM is (Another build of W10/W7 or a Linux VM) - the USB attach fails -- causes the VM to freeze and in order to close VMWARE down you have to re-boot

    Cheers

    @jimbo45

    This is a VMWare issue, they must fix it... transfer VM's to VBox in the meantime...

    I lost patience trying to fix it - and switched to VBox which served my purposes - your's may be different.

    That's what I thought as evidenced in the following link in post # 246:

    Apologies if already mentioned, but has there been any update regarding the future timeline of the builds? The fact that they merged Fast into Skip Ahead in 20H1 makes me think there won't be a build cycle with 19H2, but maybe I'm wrong.

    Word is that 19h2 will be on the slow ring. No timing though.

    Another reason I'm following out of love with the insider program:
    Windows Insiders vote for their favorite 19H1 features - Windows Insider

    I couldn't give a flying bit about any of these features(except maybe #12), give my stability & reliability with what's there already.

    Agree with you Cliff. Couldn't believe emoji's would be top of the list.
