My laptop running the Skip Ahead build updated the first time. It took less than one hour. My desktop running the Fast build failed four times using Windows Update and two times using a ISO made from UUP Dump. Did a upvote on the Feedback Hub. I'm giving it one more try with Windows Update. If not I'll wait until MS solves the problem.

You might as well look into this error as well. Windows 10 Insider Preview 18875.1000 (rs_prerelease) - Error 0x800703ed

    Steps I am taking.

Changed from Skippy to Fast Ring because - why not.

Using UUPDump to download and create an ISO which I will mount and run setup.exe. I suggest that MS think about seperating build updaates from orginary Winidows Updates. call it build update or whatever. WU had no problem updating the AMD Display Driver. Now that I see what SilverBlue is about I will re-install it and stick to using VMware on Windows for awhile while I begin a long learning curve about containers, flatpak etc etc. I will save the exFAT drivers I found even though they don't seem to work immediately on SilverBlue - because of the extreme OS protection.

OOPs UUPDUMP Bombed as well. Has anybody gotten it to succeed?

I took a chance and ran aria2_download_windows.cmd again and the ISO was created in short order. Now to run setupl.exe and we will see what happens. But really - we waited two weeks for this??
I know, and agree, it's not much of a build to throw a party over. But my theory (and I'm almost always kinda usually right, maybe... ), this is the "Merge Build". In order to join Fast and Skippy back on the same track (for a while), a build was needed in common. Have to start somewhere. Think of it as the Wedding Build... "They hath been joined together, as Fast and Skippy". The divorce comes when they split again late summer. And we're left holding the kids............

    Weirdest update ever...

Last 10 or so upgrades have always done the same for me: it gets to 86%, then restarts and continues from 75%. Happens every time.

No. This is no way to run one of the largest companies in the world. I;ll see in a few minutes if the ISO I created will even boot from the latest VirtualBox. -- Nope ISO is too small by a couple hundred thousand bytes. So UUPDump bombed as well. Maybe another withdrawn build? On to .1001??

If you already ran it and created the ISO check the size - it may not boot.
