    [SOLVED] Apps Crashing 1903 OneDrive At Startup

    Edit 3: We did not have that bug before today and we did not upgrade offline either. Live upgrade won't work with the ISO image, but it does with the ISO file. The process ends at 18362.30 and there is no bug there. The bug is present in both ISO files at uupdump. The second one (our 3 last attempts) is pretty slow compared to the latest one.

    All the best,
    Edit 4: The bug is not present after a clean install offline. The installer is not slower, about 10 minutes.

    @MikeMecanic

    I see you're running AMD 2700U CPU. Is your laptop a Thinkpad A485 by any chance? I'm curious because I might be getting one for my BD.

    Well, just clean installed 1903 Pro N (activated) and the Media Feature link does not even exist!

    So other reports are misleading. I am betting you only see that link if you have previously installed an N media package and upgraded.

    E585 and don't buy that, it is not compatible with Linux (bootline must tweaked with iommu=soft, if not ISO's won't boot = firmware bug). Same for E485, but they work OK and made for advanced users. E585 is Discontinued!

    None of the machines by Lenovo that don't have 100% Intel components are Linux compatible/supported.

    E585 isn't discontinued, as far as I am aware. Not that I'm interested in that model. I'm looking for the A485 which also has had some glitches, but are mostly resolved now.

    EDIT: Actually I was wrong. A485 has Linux Certification if one swaps out the Realtek WiFi card with an Intel one. Cool!

    Good to know!

    There is no WIFI bug here since Kernel 4.20.x with the original card and never in Ten. The main problem is the Keyboard. You get this........................................... and you must press escape to stop it. When typing, sometimes it goes into another line. We need an external Keyboard and mouse.

    If decided, get 16G of RAM, FHD monitor and ryzen 2700U. The rest is minor, but you'll have to work a little more than an HP.

    For E585 we have gotten this since about a month.

    Unfortunately the "ThinkPad E585 (AMD)" is no longer available, may we suggest:

    I'm going for the A485 with R7 Pro 2700U, 16GB of RAM (single channel which I upgrade later) and M.2 512GB NVMe disk drive.

    The first thing I'll do is check if it's on latest BIOS (1.16) and then I'll upgrade the OS to this build. I'll return here in a few days to report my findings.

    This makes me wonder, are you on the latest BIOS? I think 1.38 is the latest one for your model. I am well aware these AMD Thinkpads has had a rough start with flakey firmware, but has gotten better over time.
