Thanks. i did but the problem repeated. its maybe due to drivers.
I don't think you have a driver issue, but some corrupted update components.
Have you tried to run Windows Update Troubleshooting?

Try resetting WU, if this folder is present "C:\$WINDOWS.~BT delete it. Empty recycle bin after, delete Distribution Software content again and run disk cleanup. Note that you won't be able to rollback to the previous version after, but I think it is already the case.

If the first method (Brink) doesn't work (it should), try the second link. If this link does not work, you may have to consider doing a clean install. In both cases, keep Windows Search disabled.

The roll-back requires windows.old folder, not C:\$WINDOWS.~BT. Just FYI.......

Aside from Night light not working on my Asus TUF FX505DY (Ryzen 5 3550H), I just tried to do the Display calibration in Control Panel > Color Management and the gamma slider doesn't change anything at all.
    Same here

Likely corrected by installing the CU, then reinstalling your GPU driver, worth a shot.
That did the trick. Thanks. (With the FPS issue and not night light)

Do we have the same device? I just found out that you can change the color temperature, hue, saturation, contrast in AMD Radeon Settings. But it's useless for me as I really want to be able to use night light automatically.

When I said "same here" I meant the issue, cause I don't have AMD Graphics. My notebook is also from ASUS though R558UQ with Intel HD 620 and Nvidia 940mx.

Now I even think it could be worthwhile going through the hassle of getting rid of VS2017 and upgrade it to VS2019. Hmmm...not sure it's worth the risk just yet though.
A bit off-topic, but in my experience: VS2017 and VS2019 can coexist (one doesn't replace the other, it's totally seperate) and the VS2019 installer is very polished.

I develop some CUDA applications (which only have VS2017 integration atm). For all the rest: no hassle updating to VS2019 - you can download old compilers and SDK's as packages.

I am aware of that, thanks. My issue is that I run out of diskspace if I install both.

    Performance 1903 versus 1809

Has anyone ran some real benchmark tests on 1903 and compared with 1809?

I ran the trivial 'winsat formal' command just to get a brief overview and the results for compression/encryption algorithms wasn't fun reading. See below (1809 values in parenthesis).

    > CPU LZW Compression 474.82 MB/s (742.27)
    > CPU AES256 Encryption 5644.67 MB/s (6061.30)
    > CPU Vista Compression 1262.46 MB/s (1995.42)
    > CPU SHA1 Hash 2583.97 MB/s (2573.21)

As you can see I notice a decrease in raw processor calculations with as much as 30-40%.
These measurements are from a system with an Intel i7-8565U. I have an ASUS Zenbook UX480 with latest BIOS.
Has something more been done with regards to the Spectre/Meltdown mitigations compared with 1809?
I use, as always, the following keys in the registry to avoid as much as possible of the highly overrated mitigation nonsenses:

    featureSettingsOverride 3
    featureSettingsOverrideMask 3
