Brink, Mine does not have Insider Preview listed anywhere because I performed a clean install onto my hardware of 1903 from an ISO that I created from the UUP files. I got this update today but I was already running 1903, since 4-4-2019. And yes I checked my system info, nowhere does it say Insider Preview. For all intent and purposes, this a 1903 system that I am running.
Same as Fast--v1903, build 18362.53, no watermark, etc.

.53 seems solid to me--but I do think it's odd--I've gotten two CU's already on 18362.1--.3 and now .53. And .53 is released with "known issues!" Thankfully, the known issues don't apply to my system as Defender and the AV stuff works fine under .53--it just seems odd to see so many of these tiny little CUs being released at the last minute. I really wish Microsoft would drop back to a single commercial release per year...!
That's the whole purpose of the extended period in RP. I suspect we will see quite a few CUs before it is released to the general public in late May.

That would make sense. Hope the OP can verify that, @HRPuffnstuff
It came from WU and once it was in progress it failed and was not offered again. What I can say is that it took an extraordinary long time to reach that point compared to the insider machines which all updated. For this machine I'll wait until its offered on WU next month.

There's a whole slew of other defects too -- absolutely 100% NOT READY for prime time yet. If using the SAME machine doesn't bring consistent results -- need I go on.
Yes please. A single upgrade issue doesn't seem like much.

Check the Asus site for your laptop & reinstall a few Asus-for-your-laptop-model Win10x64 drivers--might fix you up.
That's what I did right after updating to 18362 (I updated right after I got this laptop)

I'm not sure if it's an Asus, AMD, or Windows issue so I don't know where to ask for support.

    @jimbo45 @EdTittel

Why am I not surprised that this release isn't quite ready for prime time? Heck, I don't think 1809 is even there yet.

The fact I can cause a looping GSOD that makes the system unusable by just uninstalling a couple Windows optional features is deeply concerning. Logged feedback, but it's been ignored.

Likely corrected by installing the CU, then reinstalling your GPU driver, worth a shot.
That's definitely worth a try. Thanks

    Hi there

This update is driving me even more Bonkers than I probably already am. How can this be anything like RTM (I think there was a post earlier in this thread) where this update won't even install from a perfectly OK build 18346.1

Can the hardware requirements really change that much between a base build and an update --it's not a new build so what's up !!!! Note this is on a physical machine not a VM.

This fails (via standard WU) -- update starts and then throws up fail screen alluding to hardware - but of course typical with Ms doesn't specify what the hardware problem is. The Laptop is quite a recent one so what's going on here !!!

Strange thing is I can update this PC to the 20H1 releases !!!

    Cheers
