    Hi there @slicendice

    a lot of them are broken so you haven't missed anything

    I'm amazed that this one is being considered as almost ready for RP / RTM as there are still a lot of issues with it --- as for the 20H- builds -- OK those I expect to be buggy as they are test builds and hopefully those will have things like Sandbox and WSL working far better - that needs quite a bit of fiddling / re-writing parts of the OS - I'd expect regression with some systems there.

    Cheers

    Just saw this, and immediately jumped to update all Insider Preview (1), plus Slow/Fast (3) PCs. So far, so good. I agree with @jimbo45 though: I'm not sure this is ready for prime time just yet. But I guess that's the idea behind an extended Release Preview cycle.
    Cheers!

    Hi there
    @EdTittel

    @slicendice

    I think I'm going to leave some of these builds to be organised by this guy -- might be more succesful than using current Ms team !!!

    Anyway have a good evening

    More "footie" tonight -- Manchester Utd in Champions league -- and plenty of Beer as well.

    Man Utd is still the most popular UK football team by far that people outside UK support - although Liverpool gets a good following here as well with some smattering support for Chelsea -- Nobody likes Man City, Tottenham or Arsenal -- sorry Brits that's how it is.

    Cheers

    Could you mention WHY you don't think this build is ready for RTM?

    Getting severe FPS drops (from 50 to 15-20) in War Thunder after updating. Removed update and everything worked as before. MS definitely doesn't want me to game.
    Likely corrected by installing the CU, then reinstalling your GPU driver, worth a shot.

    Night light and display color adjustment apps still do not work on my Asus TUF FX505DY with the new AMD Ryzen 5 3550H.
    Check the Asus site for your laptop & reinstall a few Asus-for-your-laptop-model Win10x64 drivers--might fix you up.

    Hi there

    @NMI

    posted on another thread

    If you update 1809 to latest release then this build won't install on some systems -- gives "Your hardware is not ready for Windows 10" - whereas earlier 1809 builds on the identical same machine will upgrade -- and that's just one issue.

    VM's using VMware when the HOST is this build - fail when you try and attach external devices to the VM.

    There's a whole slew of other defects too -- absolutely 100% NOT READY for prime time yet. If using the SAME machine doesn't bring consistent results -- need I go on.

    Cheers

    .53 seems solid to me--but I do think it's odd--I've gotten two CU's already on 18362.1--.3 and now .53. And .53 is released with "known issues!" Thankfully, the known issues don't apply to my system as Defender and the AV stuff works fine under .53--it just seems odd to see so many of these tiny little CUs being released at the last minute. I really wish Microsoft would drop back to a single commercial release per year...!
