Well i still feel more confident with my Norton Security and Malwarebytes free. Plus I can and do still enable Windows Security's virus and threat protection with no slowdowns. Yes it costs me a few quid per year for Norton but I get a 5-system licence and that includes my Windows and Android devices.
May be overkill but works for me.
oh well. looks like Avira has struck out with its 3rd update.
I used to run Avira a decade ago on a few PCs before MS released their security essentials [MSE] app (this was several months before Win7 was released). once MSE came out, I moved away from avira.
Kaspersky Internet Security also does fine with the latest Win10 updates (as with Norton) since the latest patch for Kaspersky 2019 also added support for the upcoming 1903/19H1 release (something avira could not do)
after performing scan as previous and sending results 2 days ago to Avira.
"Thank you very much for providing the requested log files.
I escalated your case, and my collegues determine this issue might be cause by our software, I will get back to you as soon as we have a solution."
Slow but hopefully fruitful - mind you we are in a bank holiday period.
on v 15.0.45.1184 already. No progress from Avira as yet.
