I'm looking to do a clean install of 1903. Any feedback one way or the other with respect to using Windows Media Tool to get 1809 and then upgrade to 1903 via insider or using Rufus and UUPdump to get directly to 1903? Thanks!

Why not wait for the stable release of 1903 at the end of May to do a clean install, which seems more appropriate. For sure, you can do a clean install of 1809 and then go through all the hoops to get 1903 via UUPdump's iso, but then again it won't be as stable as the one that will be officially released by MS at the end of May (Windows 10 May 2019 Update). That's only my personal take!

Because MS released 1903 today to the normal update channel.

Any reference to that, because it seems that I am lagging behind and would really appreciate it to put myself up-to-date.

The cumulative update was released without requiring to be an insider, but you still need to be an insider to get to 1903 to begin with unless you use 3rd party tools.

When updating my Production Machine, I'll go through Windows Update instead of a clean install.

However, I just did the clean install from UUPDump on my Teaching Lappy so I can show my students what 1903 looks like.
