Updated my Release Preview test machine (Surface Pro 3) today with no apparent difficulties. Now have two machines running 18362.30.

that is now Creative's problem not Microsoft's as Creative has to issue new drivers for their X-FI sound cards.
though they did post some new audio drivers for certain X-FI series such as X-FI Titanium (there's v2.40.0018 available) but others have not been given updated drivers
For anyone whose PC says cannot upgrade due to a driver issue or service, see this thread which links a tool to find the offending file/path:Incompatible applications - Microsoft Community
Hi there
VMware issues not fixed when this build is used as a HOST. As a VM or Guest though it works when used on any other version of Windows inc earlier versions of W10 or most popular Linux distros as HOST.
Note -- you CAN run a 64 bit VM on a 32 Bit HOST provided you have the Bios virualisation feature set in your CPU -- try running a W10 X-64 Pro guest on a 32 bit XP Host just for a bit of bonkers testing !!! note though in this case HOST+GUEST can only use a a max of 4GB adressible RAM and if you use VMWare you'll have to go back a few releases as current versions only run on 64 Bit HOSTS.
Cheers

I finally ended up deleting my user profile keys from the registry and manually rebuilding them which was better than another clean install. I'm not going to try it again and give MS some time to tweak the final release package for 32 bit machines like my laptop and the AMD desktop that also failed to install. On the other hand my desktop is rolling along just fine.
That's the way HP used to do with their printers, although I think they're doing better now. I had an almost brand new HP color laser printer when Windows 7 came out. HP refused to update their drivers, so I was either stuck on Vista or had to buy a new printer. I haven't used an HP printer since then; I changed to Brother printers which just go with the flow and update with every new OS.
