Here's the straight skinny on this, RingTail:
What this tells me is that if I've created a new Restore Point prior to installing updates, and if I'm not happy with the update I just received, and I try to "Restore", things won't work.Microsoft says that a known issue will block Windows 10 from booting after trying to restore the system to a restore point created before installing a Windows 10 update.
The issue affects all Windows machines where system protection is turned on and a system restore point has been created prior to installing one or more Windows 10 updates.
When users try to restore the system after the Windows 10 updates have finished installing, the system will not be restored and, instead, "the computer experiences a Stop error (0xc000021a)" and, after restarting the computer, the system will not be able to return to the Windows desktop.
From what this says, I'm guessing this has been an ongoing problem.
Will this problem rear its ugly head if instead of using System Restore, we use the Rollback option in Update & Security, which is what we're supposed to do.
Of course, as you can see, I'm no longer eligible for a Rollback, since it seems I installed 18362.xxx more than ten days ago.
