    What update?
    Hi there

    @swarfega

    I got some KBxxxx update -- not sure what the number was -- first it gave Windows defender update -- then after that I ran the Update request again and it offered me another update.

    Cheers

    Hi folks

    After today's update on this release - It's picking up a SKY Q box -- networking never detected that before

    Not sure if it's of any use but interesting to see device detected -- especially as SKY Q boxes usually work an in internal "Mesh" Network.

    Attachment 233337

    (Box is a non UK one -- ROI (Eire) which seems to work easily enough outside the UK but anywhere in the EU including (for the moment ????? the UK)
    .

    I updated just now but it was some different and crazy way. It went thru 3 cycles of Preparing > downloading > Installing before it finally finished.

    Hi there
    @CountMike
    not sure what mine did -- as soon as I saw downloading etc - I just took Dog for a while to pub for some Beer -- was all OK when I got back !!!

    VMWare though still broken --- this time you get HOST GSOD when you try and attach a USB HDD to a VM.

    Think I'll play with HYPER-V on this box now until the wretched thing is fixed --if it isn't soon VMWare are going to lose a lot of clients !!!!

    Problem though with HYPER-V is that it isn't much use for copying VM's between machines especially those running Linux as the main OS -- however that can be got round via taking a Macrium image and then restoring in the target VM. I don't also like the use of RDP to communicate with the VM either .

    What is improving on this release though is the Sandbox -- might as well give that some testing as I can't for the moment use VMWare. Also the WSL system seems to have been beefed up.

    Cheers
