Nice find, but only if everything goes smoothly and we are talking about Windows 10 here.

The fact, that March comes in May speaks for itself, it is not abut proper testing, MS's own schedule failed, again. They should reconsider planned releases and return back to: When it is done, it is done.
It was never scheduled for March. No schedule was ever published. March (1903 designation) is the finalization of the code, not a release promise. This had been gone over time and again.

It is not about being published, all previous upgrades were RTM as planned, even 1809 (sort of).

You stated they failed with the schedule. " MS's own schedule failed, again.". They never published one, how could it fail? Use whatever words you wish.

Also, what I find really sad is these prolonged and frankly speaking rather pointless discussions about the release schedules and what 1903 code really means.

It was meant what it says on the tin - and it doesn't any more. As simple as that. The rest is an unnecessary buzz.

(In the view of rather recent changes to Insider Programme

Reminder: Check your Windows Insider Program settings Insider - Windows 10 Forums

I do wonder what 1909 will bring, and when... But I digress)

Alas! What is not discussed, is actually what will exactly be included within this release - in other words: what makes it so worthy having it installed (not pushed) by aggressive update engines on the day 1.

Still, having just browsed (albeit very briefly) this:

Windows 10 version 1903, May 2019 Update: All the new features and changes Pureinfotech

I must say that probably there's not much to discuss...

Then you are free to not discuss. Others may wish to.

Totally agreed, but they (MS) cannot go beyond June 30th, for that would really speaks volume about the classification in 19H1; 19H2. Never know with MS, let's wait and see.

Does the fact it’s on release preview now mean a public release is imminent or do we reckon still slated for late May?

    Hey mate,

It'll still be late May if no major issues appear.

This is just final testing before release to the public.
