New
#20
Closest excerpt I can find in post #1:
We will begin broader availability in late May for commercial customers, users who choose the new May 2019 Update for their Windows 10 PC via “check for updates,” and customers whose devices are nearing the end of support on a given release.
So by using the words May Update, that automatically excludes and precludes any reference to any April Update.
I do my best to give Microsoft a break, but sometimes, I'd just like to throttle someone. In checking back on releases, it seems Microsoft has been all over the calendar with releases so far, although we had April Updates in 2017 and 2018, so I kind of expected it to be the same this year. Besides, I haven't had any real problems for the last several Builds; not even in 1809!
Further, although they're claiming they listened to us, I'm not so sure they did. We can postpone updates for 35 days? Big woo! I'm pretty sure we can already do that . . . I'd think something more like 60 days would be a little more appropriate.
BTW, postponing a release by one month later than expected doesn't seem like a huge change to me. To get an official announcement that Updates (other than security and such) will only come approximately once a year would be a whole lot better received. Better yet, it would be nice if Microsoft would stick to some kind of release schedule! Ha!
Just my opinion, which isn't worth much, but I'd be a lot happier if Microsoft were a little more forthcoming.
But only the users of the Pro version, the news here is that, from version 1903, users of the Home version will be able to pause the updates for up to 35 days (currently, users of the Home version can't pause updates), even so, users of the Pro version have many more options since they can defer a feature update for 365 days and a quality update for 30 more days.
Only in Pro at the moment. This will apparently now be available in Home. Note the use of the word 'all' in this...
In fact, all customers will now have the ability to explicitly choose if they want to update their device when they “check for updates” or to pause updates for up to 35 days.
That is fully confirmed:

Looks like Features Updates will become optional for all if the new 'download and install now' option applies to Home (as seems likely). And it's going to be added to 1803 and 1809.
Download and install now option provides users a separate control to initiate the installation of a feature update on eligible devices with no known key blocking compatibility issues. Users can still “Check for updates” to get monthly quality and security updates. Windows will automatically initiate a new feature update if the version of Windows 10 is nearing end of support. We may notify you when a feature update is available and ready for your machine. All Windows 10 devices with a supported version will continue to automatically receive the monthly updates. This new “download and install” option will also be available for our most popular versions of Windows 10, versions 1803 and 1809, by late May.
