Man, I hate that the April update is delayed to May.
But then again, the testing phase seems necessary since the 1809 fiasco.

We wouldn't have had the 1809 fiasco if Microsoft hadn't jumped the gun and released the final version without benefit of Insiders testing it.

I'm in favor of the longer testing period, just not the inconsistencies Microsoft hands out to us.

I will stay on 1809 as long as I can.
    Why?

I'll keep to my plan of deferring feature updates for at least 6 months to give MS time to iron out the initial bugs

Yes, I think that's what it's saying. RP (18362/19h1/1903/May Update/???) to Insiders starting next week, the version that will become public after tweaking and massaging and fixing for a while, released in late May.

Meanwhile, my Orioles lost their opener to the Yankees.............. 8-4.
    Your Orioles? Sounds painfull.

Baseball. Like soccer (EU football), but smaller, harder ball we hit with a bat, not our head.

What MS really needs to do is give us back the granular control we had over WU, a la Win7.
But you haven't had that in Win7 for years. It's all in a 'Monthly Rollup' now, just like a Win10 CU.

There are good arguments for sticking to 1809, not least of which is that it is the build chosen for the current LTSB/LTSC.

The degree of control and transparency is miles ahead of Win10: Clear differentiation of optional and critical updates, precise info on size of downloads (critical for users with low data caps), ability to indefinitely delay download of any update (not just defer download), and finally the ease and convenience to do all this by merely ticking, or unticking, a box.
