I've done this dvd to ssd swap on three different laptops, and what I have found is the caddy that you order for any particular laptop, comes with the connectors built in. I've never had to mess with the data or power connectors. I just screw the ssd down to the caddy, and slide it into place. Boom, everything is connected. Not firing any shots at anyone here, but I will NEVER understand why some people are hell bent to hold on to old technology. You can easily transfer all information on any dvd to the ssd drives. Who wants to carry around a bunch of disks???

    Hi there
Agree --who wants to carry around a bunch of DVD's around !! --there's also loads of programs out there to rip old DVD's / CD's anyway so I can't understand why people still want old DVD's.

Sometimes if I get a CD / DVD from say a Supermarket included in a magazine or newspaper then it's easier enough to rip it anyway -- if you don't like MP3 for audio it's easy enough to rip to FLAC or other lossless formats --even Blu Ray DVD's are dying -- quality now available from 4K UHD streams from Netflix / Amazon / Sky make it so easy to store on SSD. I'd love to see some of today's Uni students having to write their doctoral (Phd.) theses on old papyrus with wax pens !!! That will teach them what using old technology was like. !!!

    Cheers

Sorry to dissapoint you guys, I have an extremely modern high end desktop rig, which contains THREE blu ray writer drives. Nothing like browsing my disc collection copying three at a time of them to my pc, or burning three dvd audio discs for my car all at once.

Kinda like old vinyl LP record buffs. They are fanatics about them. (I have a few dozen parked away.......)

BTW, your support ends in 12 days....

Ok, sorry, just went by your specs. You must be running Insider, then, as your main.

Please clarify, are you running "I think this is RTM 1903" build or an official RTM build of 1903 confirmed by Microsoft?

If latter, please could you provide any links where your build is confirmed by Microsoft to be RTM.
