    Hi there
    If you still want to install and install via update fails use the UUPDUMP method. That always seems to work no matter what. OK it doesn't test Ms's update procedure but if you want the build regardless then do it that way. BTW always take backups before updating as well (even if it's a VM).

    Cheers

    suspend resume in vmware working fine here(workstation pro 15.0.3). again, guys, these are specific issues on your end only.
    Hi there

    Mea Culpa --- my fault should have been more thorough on Testing !!!! - perhaps copying Ms !!!!

    @er557

    after HOST reboot seems to be OK now -- must have been something in the update that required a re-boot of the HOST on my machine (that only gets re-booted very seldomly) -- VMware often has services running in background whether there's a VM running or not.

    I found also after Host re-boot and VM re-boot -- Language issue now properly fixed !!!!!!!!!!
    I needed to re-set the language in the settings (it had switched to English -- probably since I created the ENG-GB ISO from uupdump - then switched and re-booted). Didn't quite work until I re-booted Host and then re-started VM.

    Now so far happy with this build. Could well be approaching RTM.

    The equivalent in VBox Pause/Resume works sometimes. Not a facility I use very often.

    TIP

    Been testing the Sandbox and wanted to map a folder as per the MS blogs. I wanted to map an existing folder on host (c:\sandbox) but could not get it to work using config file below

    Code:
    [FONT="Open Sans",sans-serif,Arial,Tahoma,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]<Configuration>
    <MappedFolders>
     <MappedFolder>
        <HostFolder>c:\sandbox</HostFolder>
        <ReadOnly>False</ReadOnly>
    </MappedFolder>
    </MappedFolders>
    </Configuration>[/FONT]

    I eventually found the error in line in bold above. The FALSE value is case sensitive and needs to be all in lowercase i.e. line should read

    Code:
    <ReadOnly>false</ReadOnly>

    Pretty unusual for windows which normally does not care about case sensitivity!

    Hi there

    Thanks for that

    Sandbox is one thing I've been wanting to have a real go with -- OK I think there's still more to come from it but if it can work decently , has some sensible configuration options e.g different sandbox states etc and can also share data -- great idea.

    Just trying it out now on a spare laptop as a REAL machine.

    Another issue fixed (or seems to be) in this build : Themes download and install properly from the store.

    Windows +L key also properly takes you to the initial "Lock" screen rather than displays the screen with your user id and password enter screen öö still don't like the "blurred" sign in screen though -- any way of undoing that !!!.

    Cheers

    Hi jimbo.
    Perhaps I was unlucky....see my post #144....or maybe it was going directly from 1809 release back again to Insider.?

    I was in the fast Ring build, but seeing that the slow and fast ring builds are a few builds apart (the same now), decided to switch to Slow.
