    Hi there @DooGie
    Yep misread

I think too much booze last (Saturday) night !!!!!

So far this build for me has been the best of all the various rings - I'll see what happens to the next fast build

BTW when updating to a NEW fast build can I just run the update (from an ISO) from this build or do I have to start again from my standard 1809 build and do the update from that build..

    Cheers
    jimbo
Yes just mount the iso and run setup.exe.

No problems here...WU upgrade from '351. Offline portion about 16 minutes, again. Nice.

No problem jimbo I made a similar mistake the other night when people were talking about friendly dates, I read it as friendly updates and started asking what friendly updates were. As with you alcohol was involved . Still it kept @Wynona amused.

When closing the three dots menu (or "ellipsis menu") of some apps, the animation stops for a moment and then continues, this small bug is present in build 18353 and in build 18850.

Bug in the three dots menu.

    Slow mo.

Just in case anyone else feels the same way I do, here's a link to my post about Microsoft giving us a taste of new features then taking them back in the next Build: Feedback Hub - Windows Insider

After installing each new Build of Windows 10, be it the Fast Ring, Slow Ring or Skip Ahead, I’m asked:

“How likely are you to recommend this build of Windows 10 to a friend or colleague?”

First, let me say that each new Build, whether it be 1809, 183xx, or 188xx, Windows 10 seems to be getting faster and more stable as we progress. However, I do have some real problems with the way “new features” are parsed out to Insiders.

Lately, there has been an A/B status where Insiders may get one or more of the new features being worked on by the Dev Team. That, in and of itself, is good; however . . .

Some new features: “Start Menu Popup (left side expansion)”, “Sandbox”, “Friendly Dates”, “Settings Banner”, etc. have been eliminated for some Insiders, while other may still have it. This is particularly unacceptable.

When I start testing a new feature, it should stay available to me rather than disappear in the next Build or two! This is not conducive to good testing and is rather confusing.

    Hi folks

How long it takes to install isn't the most important thing here -- some people (including me) do it via UUPDUMP whereas others do it by WU which seems a bit more random in its success and seems also for people who use that method to take longer. The other thing about UUPDUMP is that you don't need to enrol into any of these programs either.

The main important thing is though "Does this build work" -- and so far unlike all the other FAST / SLOW / SKIPPY builds this one comes nearest to me thinking that maybe this build could be robust enough for day to day operations.

I slung out the SLOW build and the SKIPPY because of defects with VM's and language display issues but this one seems to have worked and runs efficiently too. Not bothered by cosmetic changes - the functionality of the OS is to me far more important.

    Cheers

Agree, this build seems to work just fine and is stable enough to use as main os.

Friendly Dates stopped working for me in this build. The option is gone in Folder Options. The registry value is still set to 1, though.
