Installed 18351 and created ISO all in less then an hour. No problems so far but haven't spent much time with it. Tonight I will play with it,

I updated my desktop this morning. It took a total of 41 minutes. I don't know if the faster installs are because Windows Update has improved or if it's the fact that I exit most of the programs running in the background first. So far no problems. I do have the watermark and the banner in Settings. I did lose the popup in the Start menu.
I've noticed a reduction in offline upgrade install time as well. Dropping from 22 minutes (offline portion) to 16 minutes (NVMe M.2 boot) is quite the feat, especially for an upgrade install (as upgrades traditionally require a lot more time than clean installs.) I don't count the online portion of the build installs as I do other things while the downloading and pre-install routines are finishing in the background. Hopefully, they are trying new and faster offline upgrade install routines which they will adopt permanently moving ahead! I also have the watermark, and prefer the narrow, traditional start menu--which seems to be working well this far.

I always count the total time from checking for updates to the time I'm back to the desktop. I have had updates that have taken hours to install.

Exactly the same method. Do make note, though, of the Check>Restart time. That seems to be the part that's variable.

I don't know if it was a problem with my old desktop or with Windows Update itself but installing some of the older builds slowed my computer down to the point it was almost unusable.

They tinkered and tinkered with the Setup/UUP/Voodoo many times. Was real bad for a while back when. Not bad now, but occasionally will burp and hiccup.

Another failure, so the changes Update Troubleshooter claimed to have made, and deleting the /"$WINDOWS.~BT folder, plus deleting all files in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download before initiating this latest update attempt didn't cure the problem.
This time the error message on the GSOD did NOT have underscores, just spaces.

    PAGE FAULT IN UNPAGED AREA

I'll wait for the next update, unless someone has the answer to this problem. I'm fairly sure it has some relation to drivers, as it greeenscreens just before the 2nd restart. Jumps from 32 to 48%, then fails. Other updates have shown this 30 - 48% jump which after the restart reverts to <48%

I have not disconnected USB devices, nor did I shutdown Vipre AV this time. I did shutdown Vipre for attempt #3, but it still failed.
I take the view that most W10 users will just let their machines update without going to the bother of doing any uninstalling/disconnecting, so I test that way, Yes, for this one I did try the ISO method, but it didn't work, either

IMOD, that green is so dim it's almost unreadable. Especially for those of us who have eyes that no longer work like they did in our younger years.
