    Nice to see Ms is investigating the problem of VMWare not installing or working properly on these insider builds
    So I won't bother with this one - but hopefully it looks as if the VMWare issue is going to be fixed soon -- maybe next release.
    I hope they fix the problem mounting USB drives also.

    First time this happened to me: I always install new builds using UUPDump (all checksums are OK). But installing this build caused a revert with the keywords SECOND_BOOT MIGRATE_DATA.

    3 install fails for this build - 2 thru WU and 1 using UUP iso - a new experience for me.

    ETA - 18845 installed w/o issues from UUP iso - looks like I'm a "skippy" now.
    Hmm, same for the UUP ISO. My mobile data is limited so I can't use WU.

    Edit: nevermind, the second install trial worked. Wonder why the first didn't work when I didn't do anything between the trials (WiFi was off the whole time)

    I updated my desktop this morning. It took a total of 41 minutes. I don't know if the faster installs are because Windows Update has improved or if it's the fact that I exit most of the programs running in the background first. So far no problems. I do have the watermark and the banner in Settings. I did lose the popup in the Start menu.

    Hi there

    @Winuser

    On Linux HOSTS this build works as a VM with VMware -- I've made 2 posts in this thread on what to do on a Linux HOST to get it working. It's a bit convoluted but it works and preserves activation. Posts nr 35 and 37 in this thread.

    Still some defects on this build but nothing so far horrendous AFAIK. Liveable with for a test build -- don't use yet though as a "Prod" machine.

    @slicendice

    you might also be interested in my latest playing with VMware and this build. -- Shows I have too much time to waste at the moment !!!! (especially when I was originally going to give up on this build too).

    Loved Real Madrid getting smashed by ajax amsterdam last night-- really enjoy decent "Footy" -- the one with the proper round ball !!

    Best way to install all these builds though IMO is to use the UUPDUMP method to create the iso and then install from the iso via setup.exe -- that way also you don't need to register for any insider builds and you can install fast / slow / skippy builds all concurrently if you are bonkers enough to do it without signing up to any insider programs.

    Cheers

    @jimbo45 I'm running VMware on my laptop running the home version of the Skippy Ring (Host). It's been several builds now that I can't mount a USB drive. I haven't tried it on my desktop running the Pro version of the Insider Fast Ring.

    Hi there @Winuser
    My solution was for Linux Hosts -- think there's still a problem with these builds on Windows Hosts but you could try and see if changing the HDD's to what I suggested in my posts ( e.g LSI SAS and SATA instead of SCSI might work on Windows.

    I have Version 1903 build 18845.1001 on my computer and I can't find any announcement about that FAST build. I think I am getting lost with all the various versions and builds, fast, slow, skip, preview and it seems combinations of those. Was there some sort of announcement for the version on my machine?

    Hello Ak, ;-)

    That would be for the Skip Ahead ring instead.

    I have watermark, no banner, and do have Hamburger Pop-Up! A/B/C/D and/or all or none of the above testing.
