Maybe your script has a bug?
    ddelo said:
It definitely could... but only on this machine?
Maybe not. The problem could be on my end. I will have to check my BIOS/UEFI settings and see if I have not changed them to Legacy, but that is going to take just a little bit of time. Really don't know if that was the case, @ddelo's script would be different after changing the settings. I will post back. I am calling on your patience...

I have just checked it out and I can say with 100% certainty, that according to Secure Boot Configuration:
    Legacy support > Disable
    Secure Boot > Enable

Then, the problem is not the BIOS/UEFI settings level.

Sanity check, please. 99.9% of all of this is over my head. I did follow the excellent instructions here. Applied the KB4465065, ran the PS scripts, and results. Could someone take a look-see, please? Thanks!

    Dick, you're in great shape!!!!
You didn't have to apply KB4465065, as your UEFI microcode is the one suggested by intel.
It won't do anything to your system, as at boot, Windows check the microcode loaded from the UEFI and since it finds it updated does not use the one installed with KB4465065 (which is the same with the UEFI one!).

So should I uninstall the KB, or just leave? Thanks so much for looking!

    You're more than welcome!!!
I think you can uninstall it. It doesn't offer anything.
And just to be on the safe side, once uninstalled, run the script once more!!!
