Latest updates rollout have installed changes in Windows mail. One being a “turn on/off the lights” button. That's all fine and dandy but the problem is if you don't want to use this new toy it reverts settings to Lights OFF every time you close the app. I'm trying to find the setting or reg key to turn it off.
If anyone finds it, please let me know.

    Thanks.
Where is the button you're referring to?

Edit: Found it. It works as it should to me.

So your saying that if you choose on for the light it will stay on, even if you open and close the mail client?

    You're most welcome.
Don't forget that in order to use the Find-Module command you need to have installed the NuGet provider.
If you don't have it, once you run the command, you will be asked to install Nuget. Go ahead and install the version required/proposed.

No. I believe that it should be off unless I turn off the Dark Mode in Setting/Personization.

This defeats the purpose of having a lights on/off button because one would conclude that if you use dark them it is fully dark (which is not the case because reading pane stayed light before update). So if we add a button it should stay light all the time if I choose Lights ON and if I choose Lights OFF Dark all the time. Because if it won't work like that, might as well just have light theme and Dark theme.

    @IronZorg89 Why your L1DFlushSupported : False?
I don't know why, but I followed the same procedure and "L1DFluhsSupported: False" is the same as that of @Ztruker. The goal of the procedure was to get retpoline enabled as "True", which is highlighted in pale blue color in my case and red for @Ztruker.

I applied the registry changes and now Retpoline is active for me as well:
    BTIKernelRetpolineEnabled : True
    BTIKernelImportOptimizationEnabled : True
Now, my thousand dollar question is: What's the advantage of activating it by registry on lets say a Kabylake. Any speed improvements?

According to Intel , on KabyLake CPUs Retpoline will not be Enabled. Just ImportOptimization.

    (and....I'm expecting that thousand...OK? )

That's what I thought because CPU bios update fixes all around the problem.

But I hope it speeds up my G46 with the extreme CPU.

    Thanks

Do use monopoly cash? I don't have much of the other stuff
