    I will definitely do the same and see what gives
    What I have told Rich applies to you too. Look in this post
    Although hp is pretty consistent in BIOS update. So before you go ahead with KB4465065, try the hp Support site for a BIOS update.

    I've checked just two or three days ago, but nothing new in that regard (BIOS/UEFI update). Incidentally, my last system image backup was done this morning in the wee hours, so I don't have anything to fear about going ahead with KB4465065.

    You did everything but reach through the ether and tweak it for me. Thanks again

    I didn't do anything you wouldn't do!!!

    A question, out of curiosity. Have you noticed any performance improvement after enabling Retpoline (BTIKernelRetpolineEnabled)?

    Nothing I'm aware of. I'll try to pay more attention to performance and see.

    To be honest, my UEFI is updated by hp, to the latest suggested by Intel and when I enabled Retpoline, I didn't notice anything in the performance, so I undid it

    @ddelo,

    And the winner is...

    As you can see, after applying this update KB4465065, my L1DFlushSupported is set at "True" also. Now, does that mean if I run your script again from CPU-info.ps1, my microcode revision is going to change to 0x25 as suggested by @boombastik in a previous post (#180). I am going to find out, because if not what he said about:" in order for L1DFlushSupported to be enabled (True), the microcode has to be x25", doesn't really have any value (sorry to put it that way).

    It reconfigured the clone drive bios for the main boot drive to be removable device. Had to manually reset it to boot off the main drive initially set up but then everything worked fine and nothing lost.
