    Hi there
Please Ms make the proper stuff work -- I really can't be bothered with dark themes or emojis but I would like the functionality of windows to continue to work properly.

Things like WSL and Sandbox are fine as new features to add to these types of builds - even if Sandbox is still in infancy and really can't do much currently and one expects defects on these builds -- however the base functionality should still work before these builds are let out of the door.

Why on earth is there so much emphasis on trivial "cosmetic" things like dark themes, recent contacts, file icons and emojis -- surely there's enough people out there who can meddle around successfully with these while you should get on to fix the OS properly - networking seems randomly to break after updates for one and get things like Sandbox really useful etc and improve HYPER-V so it's as easy to use as VMware (when it's working !!! -- VMware that is) .

I don't mind testing these builds and expect errors but if all they are good for is just to fix dark themes and the appearance of file explorer --- well no point really.

What you also need to do is fix a long running irritant -- long path / directory file names -- these are still limited to 266 chars --internally this might have been fixed but since pretty well any known application that has a file browse interface uses the file explorer API / interface so the file name size limit still applies.

NTFS also is getting a bit long in the tooth -- decent journalised file system should be considered and isn't it about time Windows had a good Software RAID operation.

These are some of the things I'd expect in the next version of Windows i.e these builds -- not just a few different file icons and emojis. !!!!

    Cheers

    lol @jimbo45

I hear you and fully agree! Windows 1809 seems to have some hardware stability issues during heavy IO and these same issues seems to exist on the latest insider releases and are somewhat present in the latest CUs for 1803 too. I think it has to do with all the new security features introduced into the OS. Too many bits poking around in memory and the disk drive where it shouldn't?
