and after all this time still issuer with the x-fi creative sound cards. The lack of Support from Creative for these cards initially makes me believe this issue will never be fixed. Odd how in current version of Windows these cards work 100% (although with modified 3rd party drivers), wonder why there was a need to change how sound works again, or to change a working system. So many things in Windows 10 need fixing or tweaking, and now they have to potentially break sound.
Sadly, this is how things works on Windows 10.

Microsoft changes so much things each 6 months, and most manufacturers can't or doesn't want to keep with the pace so they take the short path which is cutting support for everything older than "X" years, and most times, trying to use that now-unsupported hardware only causes trouble.

I'm pretty sure Jimbo is running VMWare with this build as the host not the guest.
    Hi there
that's correct running VMWare WKS rel 15 on this build as host. -- I want to see if the build runs more or less as my current normal build -- that's the intention of the "Slow Ring" I assume -- new and riskier features rightfully belong IMO to the Skip ahead ring. If the skip ahead ring is just this one with the odd patch then what's the point of it.

This build is the one inching its way towards general public release so we shouldn't be getting these types of defects at this stage in the cycle.

I've also run vmware on a linux host with this build as a VM -- that works fine as it should and usb devices attached etc correctly.--- however the language issue is still there which seems a bit of a regression from an earlier build -- the earlier build would freeze when you tried to select advancd options on Language - but at least the display language remained what you had at the time of the upgrade (i.e not a clean install).

    Cheers

I just finished upgrading to this build with no issues. I thought that I had read that the information pane in the settings screen was removed. I still have the pane at the top of settings that displays my email address and stuff.

The header appears and disappears, in my case it reappeared yesterday.

It didn't stop MS from releasing the October Update. IMHO, MS is more worried about their twice a year release schedule than they are about fixing known bugs.

This build is working just fine for me. Haven't found any worrisome issue to report. I could even stick this on my main machine. Working very well.
