Finished downloading and installing. My laptop took 44 minutes. My desktop took 2 hours and 7 minutes. The only thing I can think of is that it's something running in the background on my desktop.

Just saw the announcement, firing it off on the X220 Tablet now. Will report back if anything manifests. Eerily smooth and trouble-free of late, though . . .

Install after download and making the ISO seemed to take forever but final install was 15 minutes or less. So far so good.

could it be because i remove the watermark on the desktop but that wouldn't make sense...
i have no idea why it disappears....

I still have the banner after a couple of reboots. What a stupid idea that was.

BTW, do you think you could choose a less, um, dynamic avatar? Your current one is a bit distracting... thanks!
