Thanks. Don't know how many fall into the Intel block, but would imagine quite a few.
I have a Lenovo Think Pad with an Intel processor that has Fast Ring on it. Guess I should try it.

Hehheh, no worries for me, I'm 100 CPU models behind. Let's see if this one installs without hickups.
Yeah, same here with Little Lenovo. It's my only Intel 'puter and I'm not thinking of any problems.

    Hey guys have a question
It's the second time this happens,
I update and the settings layout is the new layout with pic on top, after a Reboot it goes back to the old layout
Is their a registry setting for this I don't know why it reverts to the old layout

Does anyone have any ways of bypassing this? Didn't work with an ISO (via setup.exe).

Yes I have one of the CPUs that are affected by the Connected Standby issue. But since I've seen some of you guys installing the build regardless of the issue, I figured I'd try too. I hardly ever put my PC on Sleep anyway.

Also, I've done a quick list of the CPUs that are in the families mentioned by Microsoft.

    Affected CPU List - Pastebin.com

Tried to post a spoiler tag and it was pure gore.

Seeing what you posted, I'm glad I did not bother to install this build.
Waiting for an update or for next build.

My VM I updated to 18342 via ISO yesterday had a major gastrointestinal event today. My machine is on the Intel no-go list, but thought I'd try it on a VM by using an ISO. Went fine, all updated, came back up, etc., etc.

Today, fired up the VM and within 5 minutes it did the virtual machine equivalent of a BSOD. Nasty message. Note what it says regarding if this were not a virtual machine. I have restored my VM to it's working condition of 18334. Sooooo happy I didn't try this on my physical Insider. I will wait....

So far my VBox install has been ok. I've been in and out of it several times.

I don't think so, 24c. When Skip Ahead was first announced, I signed up for it. There weren't many Builds coming through, so I opted out. I was told at that time if I opted out, I couldn't get back in. That may be what you're thinking about . . .

Fast forward to the current Skippy; I signed up again and tried to stick. I had so many GSODs on the next to last two Builds, I was forced to go back to 18305 and was put back on the Slow, then the Fast Ring. I was given an ISO, reinstalled the latest Skippy and it still wouldn't let me go back to Skippy, although it was a selection in Windows Insider Program in Update & Security.

Although I don't normally use these types of workarounds, I'm a legitimate Skippy participant, and was "thrown out" through no fault of my own and couldn't get back into Skippy, so I used Shawn's workaround. I'm back in so far . . .
You mean I was wrong - WOW -
Luckily the skillset of the people on the forum can get us into any build we want at anytime.

    (I can't believe I was wrong)
