I just had something strange happen. I wanted to check to see if I had the same problem and clicked on File Explorer. It too over one minute before Explorer opened. When I clicked on a folder (My Pictures) the folder opened but when I clicked on a picture all I got was the spinning circle. Then The desktop crashed and reloaded. All is working OK now.
I'm noticing in search I see top apps but no recent documents underneath
The settings layout is still the old settings layout
No need for that.
1) There is the tutorial index - Windows 10 Tutorial Index | Tutorials (the link for which should be available at the top of the forum also);
2) There is also the search tool for the Windows forum family (this forum and its sister sites): Windows Forums Search
Not happening here.
I hope you do! I've had the same issue with the tool and it pains me to try to use it....
@johngalt
I know that, but I like to keep my links and lists organized my way. Same goes for MS documentation, I sometimes get lost in the links they provide because they hide some of them when you go deeper into sub articles, so instead I bookmark all the important pages that belongs to a specific set of tasks and then group them Anyways, it all got sorted out once I reset all my browsers. Everything sync perfectly now, and still no duplicates either.
@Edwin @Brink
Not even once have I seen that family icon and I do have a family linked to my MS account.
I received an email from the Windows insider program today, in that mail appeared a link to one of the blogs of Microsoft:
Inspired by Insiders — Timeline
The most important thing about the blog is the announcement of the new Chrome extension for Timeline created directly by Microsoft:
Web Activities, chrome web store.
This has gone unnoticed, we must remember that there was already another extension, but it was not official.
That I can understand - I've been carrying excess baggage in the form of BMs for far too long. But some sites you just have to BM - M$ Technet documentation being a good example.
But I've adopted the search where it works well, such as here - takes me a few seconds longer to find it, but at the same time I'm not carrying tens, if not hundreds, of BMs all from this place, though which I 8still* have to search to find what I am looking for.
TO each his / her own, I suppose.
Ahh, thanks for this Leo - good catch.
Am I the only one who cannot see my activity history in search?
