If you are an IE11 user and are looking to change (good idea) then take a good look at Vivaldi. The more I use it, the more I like it. It's very customizeable and you can import bookmarks from almost any browser. I've completely dumped IE11 (actually removed it form my system via Add/Remove Programs in control panel) and replaced it with Vivaldi. It's not my primary browser yet, that's still Seamonkey but may become so in the near future. It is my secondary browser in place of Firefox.
I still use edge as primary and can not find a fault in it.
Not gonna go dig up all the reference posts from all over the globe, but I recall some of the rationale for rewriting Edge internals using the Chromium engine is to make it more cross-platform compatible. OS independent, much as possible. Grab more of the whole market, including Linux, Android, etc. No iPhoney stuff, of course.
