    OMG!

    This makes me wonder what other fundamental functions are broken. My confidence towards MS went down to a fraction now.
    Correction. CMD does delete it. It just doesn't update the desktop. Powershell does.

    Ok, then it's just an Explorer issue, which has had issues since its existence. Much better. I stopped using Explorer for anything that there exists an alternative way to do things, because it's slow and always wants to do its own things like modifying media files tags and other annoying things.

    Well that's ok for us but Joe Public won't use CMD.

    Agree! It should not be like that though. Explorer should work reliably no matter what.

    Total commander deletes them but Recycle Bin doesn't show as full. Strange.

    That is quite normal behavior. Big files never go to recycle bin, but gets removed completely. Also I'm not quite sure which function TotalCommander implements, could be that it bypasses the Trashcan alltogether.

    I have been using TC for many years, it does send files to RB unless Shift is held. The .mkv file I deleted was much smaller than RB is set to.
    Just tried some other types of files, there's something wrong with RB, it doesn't switch to full icon with any files in it. Also was able to rename .mkv files from TC.

    Thanks for confirming. Seems there's a lot broken in this build. What I don't understand is why .mkv files are affected but not other files. I guess Windows tries to be smart, but can't properly understand what it's working with.

    Yes, File Explorer is definitely at fault, other programs that are just a shell for it also have same problem.

    Hi there

    @CountMike

    Is VMWare working on this build --any chance to test it yet -- not sure I'm happy with new releases being available on Friday Afternoons -- seems a strange time to release stuff -- maybe Ms just wants to avoid problems of feedback during normal working week !!!

    Incidentally some of the problems with File explorer could be related to IE11 as they are so closely intertwined -- trying to remove functionality from IE11 or to deprecate it probably is causing grief for File explorer too -- just a suggestion - might be total B/S but it's IMO a reasonable guess.

    Cheers
