They've been dropping them late on Friday recently. Be nice to get one a bit earlier.

Guess I'm one of them. Twitter and Facebook just don't appeal to me.

Edge does not sync my bookmarks at all. As a matter of fact, the bookmarks list is completely empty. It used to contain all my bookmarks. Anyone else experience this issue?

Never mind. I did a Edge repair and it synced my bookmarks. Not quite sure yet if the bookmarks are quite up to date...I have to wait and see.

    Hi there
Windows with nothing else installed is not particularly good for testing - the idea is to see if the build works in "normal use" -- just booting up and testing something like file explorer isn't really good enough.

3rd party software can mean all sorts of things - but basic standard things like backup / restore, virtual machine software, networking and Internet should be OK as a reasonable test bed as should email and some office stuff. I agree weird specialized gaming / gpu software etc probably isn't appropriate at this stage for skip ahead builds though.

    Cheers

Actually, what I was speaking of is not what people run on top of Windows--but the stuff they sandwich in between Windows and their hardware, like VMs, for instance. I run lots of 3rd-party software on top of Windows, of course. But I run no layers of software underneath Windows, to try and insulate or simulate my actual hardware, etc. I think that VMs in particular were very useful with Win10 in 2015 into 2016, possibly, but I can only see how they might be detrimental to actually "running and testing Windows" at this stage of the game, as the core of the OS seems anything but unstable at this point in time. I also have a difficulty understanding the utility of ISO creation at this point in time, I guess, even though at one time I did plenty of it, as I also seem to have left that artifact of the early Win10 days behind without a penalty of any kind that I can see. Of course, some folks may just enjoy the vicarious thrill of making that ISO every now and then, and I'd certainly not want to deprive them of that sort of edge-of-your-seat excitement...

I think my only point was that the more stuff thrown between the Win10 Windows build and the hardware (and drivers) it is intended to be tested on, the less one can be sure of what is causing bugs--serious bugs, too--when they crop up. I'm not seeing the sort of serious, GSOD show-stoppers some of my fellow "OS-nauts" here have reported, so that is what prompted the post.
