Is it just me or does this build take a long time to shut down.

Yes it does take longer, also to restart.

What worked for me was to compress the mkv container, and the video/audio files can be played from within the zip folder without unzipping. You can also move it freely and even delete it. The unmovable mkv container that's still left I could delete in safe mode.

Discussion (RANT?) on this here: New Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast + Skip Build 18334 (19H1) - Feb. 8

I've never even seen a mkv file much less used one.
Some test files here (Kodi) if you want to try out the issue.

Command Prompt, DEL command with force switch has no issues in deleting MKV files:

    del /f FileName.mkv

Command Prompt does not have to be elevated when run from a local admin account. A folder with MKV files will be deleted with following command:

    rd /s /q Path\FolderName

Thanks. As an aside if EDGE is changed to a win32 app, how will it run in Win 10S?

I know basic apps like notepad work but a full fledged browser with addons?
Running win32 binaries is not an issue, they only have to be contained in a WUP wrapper. Performance would be the same, but the security would be much better because of the way WUP gives permissions. The limit on Win S is that you can't run win32 binaries directly, not that it can not run native code at all.

    Exactly.

In addition, how I have understood this with S Mode and the upcoming Windows Lite, the difference is / will be that Lite will be almost completely a cloud based OS running on "always ready" devices (ARM etc.) with eSIM (4G / 5G) mobile connection.

If so, Windows Lite will in no way replace S Mode.

Yeah - I get that but will it handle addons same way?

This is how I see it too. Pretty much like ChromeOS but Windows.

Whether it will succeed or not, is a different question. I have my doubts. ChromeOS has already added support for Android Apps and now they're working on native Linux support. Running webapps can only take you that far. For me personally, it's not an option as it's too limiting.
