Well, that or you could simply try entering the Win 7 key again to activate? Might be a bit easier to try that first

(Assuming, of course, that you didn't already try that)
    Tried, didn't work.

Clean installed again and it's not activated. Bummer.

Geeks, that is a "non-error", in lack of better expression, and there's a simple, easy workaround as told in this note in tutorial Windows Insider - Get Latest Fast Ring ISO image | Tutorials

    Note   Note
For reasons unknown to me, extracting downloaded Aria ZIP archive occasionally shows an error message:

    Attachment 223357

Error message itself is an error, extracting will work without issues. If / when you'll get the above shown error message, simply select Do this for all current items and click Skip. ZIP archive will be extracted normally.

    Lol, yes, we do know.

That being said - so, VMs of F30 w/ kernel 5RC4 being copied to Insider, from VMWorkstation to Windows Hyper-V? Or just copied from VMWare for *nix to VMWare for Windows?

Sorry for all the questions - I decided a while back that I was going to drop the idea of virtualization as my poor system gets easily overloaded if I run even one VM, and maintaining them is an even larger PITA, but I am exploring enabling the Hyper-V stuff again to play a little, to install a couple of variants of Gentoo-based distros to test a new for *nix app (actually 2, now).

I used to be able to open a .ZIP in Xplorer2, my default file manager, and it would work just fine. Now I get that error message but there is no dialog to 'skip', and I am forced to either reopen the archive in 7Z and then extract before I can use any files within the archive, whereas before it would automatically just extract to the temp folder and run on demand.

    Attachment 223376

(Note: Pure conjecture on my part) I suspect this is a part of the new 'security' focus, requiring more user intervention before allowing an archive to dump and run executables.

    Glad you're back up!

No, but I installed on a full SSD, not a single partition. I assume you got the .ISO from UUPDump? Did you do anything special at all? And do you have other OSs on other partitions on the same physical drive?
I have the same problem here (same error number). with any .zip file. It's like Windows is trying to extract files twice

    Hi folks.

On CLEAN install I can't install NET3.5 which I still need. When trying to enable it via "Turn on Windows feature in control panel" the update fails and looking at the error code this says that Net3.5 can only be downloaded separately if you have an MSDN or a Visual studio subscription. However if you do an UPDATE then if NET 3.5 was previously installed still remains.

    Cheers

This build is having the same problems as the last half dozen, namely, if I run a WD offline scan, it loses the internet upon restarting. There is nothing wrong with the internet, but the pc tells me that it is unplugged or the cable is faulty.

Just a thought. Since WD offline scan is essentially running in Safe Mode, before handing over to the OS, the network adapter is not enabled at that point. Different from safe Mode w/Networking, which you can manually set. If all previous builds (last few.....) have this issue, may not be the build per se, but the LAN adapter having an issue coming back up properly. Check this Power Management setting in Device Manager for your adapter, and un-check it if set. Try the Off-Line scan again.
