OK. I am on Skip Ahead and the setting survived a reboot. Now what?

Also, recently, have had trouble with my clipboard--would copy simple text but find myself unable to paste it anywhere!

Interesting you mentioned this. I ran into the same problem but it is was with Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco). So I ditched that OS and installed Fedora Rawhide. It of course will have its own problems but not being able to cut and paste is pretty intolerable for me. Never saw that on Windows.

An educated guess: In the past, we have got a new Skippy build within a week from Insider team opening Skippy ring.

My PC that has been on Skippy since it started is showing "Custom," so I'm guessing that means it's still Skippy. But when I checked the Insider page on my Fast PC, I had to input my PIN to prove I actually am who I claim to be.

EDIT: Oops! I spoke too soon. "Custom" is now gone and "Skip Ahead" is showing. Maybe it changed when MS flipped the switch to re-enable the Skippy option.

Skippy now sticking — conventional way.
My Surface Pro 4 accepted the change to Skip this morning, via Settings/Update & Security/Windows Insider Program, and it has survived a system reboot. The registry key shows Skip.
    No update available yet, though.

I hope this means that they are going to start fixing known problems and stop adding new features to the none skippy builds.
