Just guessing that there will next to no new features and that Microsoft will just be tuning performance and compatibility for the next two months. Which is reasonable after the October 2018 fiasco.

Interestingly, I am getting this every time after boot when launching Edge. I click "Don't ask again", yet it's shown after next boot.
Attachment 222175Edge has been my default browser since October 2014, never set any other browser as default.Kari
I don't use edge like ever, but I just clicked on it to see if I got the same thing, and I didn't. It opened normally. You must have dealt with a ton of frustration since October 2014...

Another poor build, creating more problems than fixes to current issues. Wasn't the basic premise of windows operating system File, Edit, View,. I think Microsoft are currently loosing their way....
I don't think it's a poor build at all. Everything works fine on my machine, and is even quicker. Even Sandbox is working well, with no hiccups.

Whatever turns light grey areas to light pink in this build continues to have me baffled. Rebooting today fixed things, but when I came back to the PC this evening, pink again (like on this very page, for instance). I've seen some others talking about this, but no answers yet.It happens irrespective of Night Mode.I guess I'll be rebooting more often than normal, since that fixes it for a while. On the slow launching of some apps sometimes issue (yes, I've seen some go a half minute or so, too), disabling Defender, somewhat surprisingly, didn't fix it. I figured there was a pretty good chance that it would.
This must be on your system. I have zero pink on my sys. Gray is gray, white is white and black is black.

Is it possible that SUPERFETCH is missing ? When did they kill it ?
With the increasing use of SSD's, it is probably being phased out. That's the only thing I can think of.

I had pink instead of light gray when Virtual Super Resolution was enabled in AMD drivers for my monitors.

I just did a restart and Chrome opened immediately. Is your sys drive a HD or SSD?

I just did a Restart too, and Chrome opened immediately, but not from a fresh boot, apparently!

    HDD.

I don't even bother to start up apps until the desktop has been up for 5 minutes - until then, yes, there are big lags in program startup. If I try to start LibreOffice before Windows simmers down, it takes a l o n g time, if I wait a while, it starts up very quickly. Ditto Thunderbird. Just open up Task Manager at boot and you'll see that, while the CPU usage isn't that crazy, the HD is at 100% for quite some time (yes, I'm still using a spinner).

So when I start Windows, after I sign in, I go get a cup of coffee or something while it does its thing. This is really nothing new, actually, it just seems more exaggerated in Win10, especially some Insider builds.
