They don't do anything when trying to turn them back on.

Just booted up half an hour ago and noticed a new build downloading. First thing I do is deactivate Malwarebytes, as suggested by them, as I had to raise a ticket one time as it wouldn't activate after a insider upgrade. MBAM won't deactivate for me so have quit it and not sure if it has deactivated or not
Might mean another ticket if it goes belly up.

Sometimes just quitting malwarebytes and restarting works.

Not working here. I can't even uninstall or reinstall it. The MBAM setup just freezes up.

EDIT:

Finally got MBAM to uninstall and reinstall. Back to the same.

Still have not corrected the absence of menu in Internet Explorer!
