That's the driver update that was stopping my desktop from upgrading to this build. I clicked on the driver to update it and my video reloaded two times but the Windows update still listed that my video driver needed updating. After doing a restart the driver wasn't offered any more and I was able to download and install 18317.
Thanks for your solution. I have been plagued with the NVIDIA driver over the last 3 updates. Have used WUMT to stop it but the blocking disappears?? Did the update to the drivers as you suggested and ended up with 24.21.13.9924 on my GeForce GTX 750 Ti. Hope this stops MS attempt to upload that driver in the future.

New Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 18317 (19H1) - Jan. 16-sleep.png

"We fixed an issue resulting in certain devices not being able to wake from hibernation recently. There were two possible symptoms on wake if you were impacted – one was a black screen, one was a screen that continued to say “hibernating…”.

Despite what it says both in the official response in the Feedback hub and in the flight notes of this build, the problem of sleep and hibernation remains the same in this build, some of the feedbacks about this:

Don't know what gives but it's first time I got it. Restated normally and after that it worked from WU. Everything worked as it was before, no biggies. Still have a problem with right click menu on Start button but that's another mystery I haven't solved.
It could be a lingering problem from older builds if you're only updating each time. Have you done a clean install lately?

Wow! Sandbox now opens, so guess I have to figure out how to use it. Can I save something I'm not sure of into Sandbox from the net?
I don't know about saving something inside sandbox, but you can load it, and safely run it inside Sandbox. Once you close sandbox, everything is gone... That is the purpose of SB. To test things you aren't sure of, before making them part of your permanent system. Hope this helps.

Insider update screen has grayed out - Microsoft Community. It's an old post but max green's post might work although I don't have the dword AllowTelemetry in my registry.

Boot up seems faster on this old laptop in this version so went to Event Viewer and drilled down to Diagnostics - Performance Operational and filtered log to 100 under Warning. Not getting any resulting logs for some reason?

No clean install since first 1809. This is first time it happened. Had to use ISO few times with 1803 and earlier but that one lasted since W7.
