Very unusual for me. I came in and one pc said needed to be restarted. I restarted it and 18317 had been installed. The other pc showed nothing. I checked for updates and it found 18317 and did the preparing and downloading but never the installing. After a couple of hours of that I downloaded the ISO and updated it that way. The only shocking thing is that one pc worked like it should have for the first time in over a year.

Interesting how they (MS) decided it was time for Cortana to give up her Search Duties, and stick with suggestions of what ever she suggests. Split the two off into separate functions. Can even get the Cortana easily off the taskbar while leaving the Search Magnifier Glass.
    Maybe we'll retrograde back to

Works perfectly on my devices, as it has done in all previous builds, too.
Kari, this issue has been a problem for many of us for last 3 insider builds. MS has no response. You may have no problems but many of us do have the problem. Some of us prefer to use IE - I know you prefer Edge. This seems to be related to MS’s desire to make the world love Edge. Fortunately, the menu issue hasn’t affected my standard installs of win 10 and I do most of my browser usage in those builds. However, one cannot evaluate a build fully if the component parts are not usable.

    MP4 problems persist

They still haven't fixed the File Explorer hangs/crashes with mp4 files. Really disappointing.

Installed 18317 in 45 minutes. Reboot didn't work in the update but start did. ISO made. IE does not display the Menu Bar again and will not load Ten Forums on the first pass...it has to be reloaded. I use IE11 and not Edge...I know, I know but it has worked for me for years. I also use Firefox.

First time for me, install seemed ok, rebooted twice and then reverted to previous version 312. On second try now.

UPDATE: After an hour and having deleted SWDistribution/download folder, started again with success.

Test I.E Seems to work for me. Without the menu bar checked, left ALT will cycle the menu bar. With menu bar checked, left ALT highlights "FILE" (posted using I.E.)

I.E. is the only browser that will allow me to view my security cameras.

A simpler Windows Insider Program Settings page

In my opinion, this is much better, clearer and less confusing than before:

Working on this update with Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 for Workstations VMware VMs. If I can create an ISO and it is bootable then I MAY give it half and SSD (but I have to disconnect the HDD's - unlike Linux) even with the problem with the WSL because the separation of Cortana and Search is excellent and WSL will be corrected next time. Of course there is also the hassle of "activation" but I can problem live with that. If I was to escalate the problem (as a business owner) it should be easy but this is a very active development time so winaero tweaker is really all I need for this puppy. It's too bad that creating an ISO using Windows for Workstations only deliivers the Pro version but this is understandable. Don't want to screw the $309 pooch
