It may be a little quirky,
I had to:
• Make sure Settings is closed
• Open a Command window at the Mach2 folder
• Paste the following commands, pressing Enter after each one, one at a time:
mach2 disable 18299130
mach2 disable 19638738
mach2 disable 19638787
mach2 disable 18863954
• then, without invoking any other action, Ctrl+Alt+Del and perform an Emergency Restart, (holding Ctrl while pressing the Power button on the Ctrl/Alt/Del screen)
You don't have to "manage with blue text on dark black background", if you don't want to. While it's true that the blue is harder to see than some other colors, even the blue looks more clear once you make the backgrounds slightly transparent, then blue is much easier to see. But I find green is even easier. So all of my windows have black backgrounds, but are slight transparent, which looks cool, and makes the text stand out more clearly. I find white backgrounds straining to the eyes after some hours. But you can change the text colors to whatever you wish. Click on the screen capture below and see for yourself. Just an FYI...
