So there may be no significant new features until April? If so I hardly see the point of paying much attention to insider builds unless one is interested in the occasional odd SOD. Are we at that stage yet with 1903 or whatever they are calling it.

    Hi there

    "Wot Noo Features" !!!!!!!

Afraid these defects still haven't been addressed yet :

    1) Sandbox - essentially useless -- if you can't install software as test that requires re-boot -- forget it, also sharing / copying stuff from external HDD to sandbox is flakey at best. Can't also alter size or location of Sandbox HDD.

    2) Language problems still there -- OK Ms some languages are unimportant -- I know Icelandic is hardly a major language (but not an "endangered species" but I tried also with Spanish (on an Eng GB base install) and still had same lockup problem -- now however you look at it Spanish is hardly a "rarely used" language.

These sorts of things need to be fixed before Ms even THINKS about an RTM.

    Cheers

Well, there are plenty of bugs to be found and reported, and that's as much the point of the Insiders program as getting to play with new (largely useless or obnoxious) features. I would be happy if MS devoted an entire 6 month cycle to just bug fixing and fit&finish polish, without any new features at all.

    Hi there

I'm happy for testing and understand these builds are "alpha" or unstable software - not a problem for test -- When I see people happy to use these as "production systems" and then run into problems - That's where I side with Ms. !!

However when I see serious posts suggesting this build is nearing RTM - my first reaction after checking the date that it's not Apr 01 is "You've gotta be kidding".

I don't mind testing stuff but get some of the basic defects fixed and if you are going to release new features then get them "fit for purpose" -- I'd rather have a buggy full (or decently) new featured application (e.g sandbox while in testing phase of course) than a totally useless one like the current sandbox.

    Cheers

All the SW, including "production" work for me even if some new stuff in windows doesn't. Nothing ever happened that stopped windows and those programs from working.

I think you have it wrong, er557. Microsoft has never marched to the beat of BuildFeed's drum.

BuildFeed has never been associated with Microsoft in any way other than to post information about new Windows 10 Builds Microsoft was working on. As I understand it, most of that information was leaked to them (no, I don't know by whom). At the very least, the information wasn't sanctioned by Microsoft; only tolerated. Therefore, BuildFeed has never had any bearing over what Microsoft releases to the Insider Program.

Approximately every six months (several release dates have slipped) Microsoft releases a new version of Windows 10 to the public; from Version 1507 through the current 1809.

If everything goes the same as in the past (and I have no reason to think otherwise), we Insiders will begin receiving and working with more frequent new Builds for the next two and a half months or so, until Microsoft releases the April 2019 Update.

Not true, Marty. We're only a little past midway toward the April 2019 public release.

BuildFeed is not and never was sanctioned by Microsoft. Looks like they published the wrong leak on what Microsoft is doing.

Only March will tell if all new stuff has been introduced. Tots of time between now and April. They still "owe" us Sets for instance, started working on them long time ago.

Exactly, Count. IIRC, in the past when we were coming up on Release to Public, new Builds came hot and heavy.

Not only did Sets disappear, but Sandbox isn't working either.

However! I've worked on quite a few things that never made it into production, some of which I really liked. It could be that Sets is one of those.
