Exactly!!! It never ceases to amaze me how some people defend M$ tooth and nail, when M$ couldn't care less about the end user. If they did, they would have made this OS people friendly a long, long time ago. INstead, they employ a fake admin, which blocks most of the changes we want to make, because it has more rights than we do.
We should all be neutral when it comes to features of this OS, and let them be judged on their own merit. And as Jim said, there are a multitude of OTHER needed things they could be working on rather than wasting time and energy on dedicated drive space for our system drives, an Edge browser that is perennially inferior to almost every other browser and pushing other incoherent features on us, that no one wants or needs.

Ease of Access is still working perfectly well for me on this build. Just tested several things in there, and they did what they are supposed to do. Hope this helps.

We all recognize the fact that Windows above all has made global computing accessible to most of the planet and on the whole it works just fine -- and of course Bill Gates is one of the biggest donators to charity on this planet.

My Beef is that somehow Ms seems to have lost its way -- it doesn't seem to know whether it should just go the corporate route and ignore home consumers who were originally instrumental into it winning the war with IBM who while having at that time a better OS (OS/2) were only interested in corporates or just forget the PC market altogether.

Whatever one thinks of Windows - there's no doubt that you can connect almost every conceivable device to it somehow and eventually it will work -- no other company could have got anywhere near that --just look at apple --proprietary and locked down OS so if you want to try out a new piece of hardware -- well good luck to you. Ms co-operates with hardware manufacturers.

As a Linux user I often find I need to see what Windows uses when I need device driver -- and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

I don't believe Ms is The Evil Empire -- I just feel somehow the people at the top have got their wires a bit crossed -- they need to get bac and have a sensible future ongoing policy so consumers etc know where they are heading. Having around 7 different builds in the last 3 or 4 months IMO is totally bonkers confusing consumers and developers alike and that's where management at the top needs to take a grip.

With this build I'm getting GSOD's randomly with error kernel_lock_entry_Leaked_on_thread_termination. Think Im gong back to 18309.

While I agree with most of this, I have never understood the use of Linux until it has device compatibility rivaling M$. And yes, M$ is responsible for many, many, MANY great things in personal computing. So, no, I don't think M$ is evil either. But I do think they are detrimentally single-minded! They try to hide this fact with the suggestion hub, but we all know they ignore any feedback that doesn't support their own agenda. It is without a doubt the best OS on the planet right now. But they could do themselves and us a tremendous service, by actually listening to their end users, and implementing the things that are vital to us, and not just push forward with their own agenda regardless.
There is no need for M$ to try to compete with Google in many areas. They are too far ahead, and M$ will NEVER catch up. They should put their attentions into things they are really good at, and develop those further.

Wow!!! I am 61 years old and I have never seen a GSOD. That is sooo cooolll!!!!
