    Installed 18312 last night with the ISO and it was quite fast, about 1/2 hour. Did run into the can't restart error but used the Power- Update and Restart and all was fine on the first try. All is running OK.

    Maybe it has to do with this known issue:

    Thanks!
    Think that you're right.
    I was a little rushed when I read the first post from Brink and didn't see it.

    Hi folks

    Any remarks on Sandbox on this build -- improvements or "Business NOT as usual" !!!!

    Difficult to test Sandbox as I'm already running this build as a VM.

    Build does run as a VM in KVM on Linux box (just) !!! haven't tried messing about with adding external devices. The base system boots without GSOD -- at least that's a start on this build.

    Can't yet post screenshot as this Linux system dosn't have a GUI and I need to access the VM via another laptop to get into the Windows GUI. Am using Laptop on another project currently.

    Installed via the iso -- I rekon that's the best way rather than going through all the hoops etc that I see others doing when just going via WU.

    Cheers

    Running all builds on hardware these days. Still trying to decide why/how I want the sandbox. First thing I've noticed, however, is that Ease of Access is no longer accessible from Settings. Tries to run but then simply stops. Just trying to access global font-size adjustment through EoA, as is my usual.

    Edit: OK, after a reboot or two, Ease of Access is back. Probably with this build--considering the strange and bizarre stuff Microsoft is doing like reserving diskspace, etc.--more than a single reboot is in order...?

    Hi there.

    @Rocky

    Doesn't sound like a productive morning for a feature that I'm sure not many people need or even want -- If people want a decent OS then they should forget about tiny machines with minimal RAM etc -- android devices are far better for that type of stuff -- It makes zero sense to try and run a proper desktop OS with a full blown GUI such as windows on a machine with 1GB RAM and tiny 32 GB HDD's -- Linux will work on those systems far better but even then if you want a GUI on those systems -- I give up. !!!! -- Go back to windows CE or an embedded OS with diskless workstations.

    Cheers

    Judging by your other comments, I am "surprised" that you don't like this new feature that the insider team is implementing, it's quite "strange" that you don't like it or that you criticize some new feature in insider builds...

    Hi there

    @LEOPEVA64

    I like decent new features but this one just seems a waste of time when there's so much else to do -- For example get your spread sheet out and scan through this entire forum for the last 6 months say - and see what your spreadsheet come up with the number of failed Windows installs due to lack of HDD space -- I'll almost bet you a whole brewery / Scottish whisky distillery to a bucket of horse sh--e that the number of failed installations or % of those attempting it are minimal - certainly less than 5 % if that.

    Excel is an incredibly powerful tool -- I'm surprised management at Ms don't make more use of it other than ensuring their appearances on Golf Courses or expensive restaurants aren't inhibited by the need to get actual Real Work done !!!.

    Cheers

    At least VMware works.
    Have you tried mounting a flash drive in VMware?

    A bit less fanboyism and more objectivity?.. Don't get me wrong I applaud those that test but accepting everything MS deems fit is not helping the broader user base. IMHO (as always... )

    I haven't tried it in this build yet. The last three builds when I tried to mount a flash drive Linux mint and VMWare would lock up. The only way to get out of it was to do a cold start.

    Have you read my previous comments? many times I have criticized Microsoft and the insider team for different things, so for you "objectivity" is to bashing the insider team for each and every one of the things they do? and when someone here makes a positive comment about Microsoft, the insider team or some of the new features that they implement, that's fanboyism?
