Edge can no longer open the web UI admin page for my router since this update (either by url http://bthub.home or IP address 192.168.1.254) IE still can. This bug is also reported for the Jan. 8 update for 1809.

Same for me with my T P Link router.... I use Firefox as a rule and that is OK.... yet again Microsoft break there own software....
Mine did the update, restarted, back to login page then took a very long time to start, it then started to a black desktop with the minimum icons and a message sayind there was an issue with desktop and I think it mentioned profile...
Shut down with the power button and it restarted OK...
It then said an app had an issue in security centre, ran trouble shooter to be told the internet temp folder had moved.... ignored it and again all is OK...
NEVER had an issue with Windows 10 updates until this one ..
I am running 1803 build 17134.523 and have no trouble accessing my ATT Fiber unit at http://192.168.1.254 with Edge and other browsers. Must be a compatibility issue with some Routers. I guess we will get an out-of-band update soon to fix this problem.

WU ran an auto update check at about 1:00 PM EST and downloaded this CU. At 1:30 PM, I had a black screen with the rotating dots and the message "Updating your system (100%). Five hours later it was still at that screen, so I did an FPO and a reboot. Afterwards, it showed error 0x800f0922 for KB4480966. WU did another auto update check, download, and a successful update. No issues with the Arris cable modem access, nor the Netgear WiFi router software. Still no v.1809.
This is terrible, since this patch, my task manager doesn't reliable list my drives anymore... And Microsoft doesn't even have that listed amongst "known issues" ! Wow, Microsoft. Am uninstalling the update now, waiting for MS to realize what they caused here.
Ressource Monitor however still lists them fine, luckily. I have 1x 2TB HDD (2 partitions), 2x SATA SSDs, 1x M.2 SSD and 1x USB 3.0 external SSD, 1x USB 3.0 HDD. Maybe anyone with simiar configuration can check task manager for this bug? (start and close task manager a few times, maybe your drives also don't show up)
edited, I also have a USB 3.0 HDD connected (plus the USB 3.0 SSD). Now gonna check for same behaviour on my Win 10 1803 notebook.
Hi folks
Not sure what happened but after update from old Windows to 1803 I was then offered almost immediately the update to 1809 which appears to be working correctly.
So I'm not sure if 1803 is meant to be around or even why it's still around if update brings you almost immediately to 1809. However with the amount of new builds, updates etc that Ms is slinging out (almost weekly now) I wonder if there's any strategy at all on these builds or is the whole thing back at Ms just "Organised Chaos" -- certainly feels like "Chaos Central" to me.
Cheers

This update broke windows Hello for me! now it says windows hello not available on this computer and finger scan login is no longer available! this is the first time such thing happen on my laptop!
edit: installing latest Synaptics (Validity) Fingerprint Sensor Driver from HP didn't fix the problem!
Also have this error in device manager!
No idea if it has anything to do with my problem!
